Realism be damned in the first trailer for Furious 7. From airdropped cars to near-death car-to-car leaps that reached ‘Mission: Impossible II’ level of ridiculousness, looks like Furious 7 will offer the same kind of over-the-top action that fans of the series are familiar with.
Also, like the previous 2 films, it seems the street racing aspect are again taking a back seat to the “kill the bad guy that killed our friend” plot.
Some diehard fans might find this a turn-off as the series takes a departure from the original underground street racing scene to the “just another action flick” approach.
Now let’s be honest. whether you’re a fan of the series or not, we’re all going to the midnight release on premiere night to get our minds blown by fight scenes, explosions, & loud engine noises.
Furious 7 premieres in theaters on April 2015.
